Renate grew up in Amberg, Germany where she met and married Ronald while he served in the US Army . She was a devoted Military spouse for over 26 years and worked in retail jewelry at the many Military bases they were stationed at before retiring from the Navy Exchange in Orlando, Florida in 1999.
Throughout it all, Renate, lovingly known as Mama, Omi, and Grandma, remained devoted to her loving husband, Ronald Letrent, and their three daughters: Sherry Carter, Michele Mason, and Melissa Letrent. Her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren brought boundless joy into her life.
Those who knew Renate will remember her as a loving, caring, and generous soul whose kindness touched everyone around her. She had a deep love for nature and all animals, always finding beauty in the simple things. Her generous spirit shone through in everything she did—she gave freely, loved deeply, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in our hearts and in the many lives she touched with her kindness and unconditional love.
The funeral service to honor Renate’s life will be held on Monday May 19th at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at 12:30PM.
