Robert Richard Lewis came into this world earlier than expected, and at just 46 years of age, also left it far too early, passing away unexpectedly on July 26, 2025. He was born prematurely at Orlando Regional and survived through his own sheer determination and with the help of a skilled medical team and two incredible parents.
A lifelong Orlando resident, Rob was a proud graduate of Bishop Moore High School and the University of Central Florida. In his career, he was devoted to the pest control profession and to Lewis-Cobb Exterminating, the company founded by his grandparents and expanded by his father. He was General Manager of the family business and then successfully transitioned to a regional support position when the company was acquired by Stark Exterminators several years ago.
Rob and his wife, Carrie, enjoyed traveling, especially on many Disney cruises. He became a Cleveland Guardians and Browns fan and was always in search of a good local brewery. He lived life to the fullest and made friends wherever he was, because Rob never met a stranger – or at least not someone who was a stranger for long.
Rob was always ready to tell a story or make a comment with a laugh, but more than that, everyone who knew Rob also knew they could rely on him for anything. He was always just a phone call away and willing to help in any way he could. In fact, most who knew Rob could expect a call from him at random times as he loved to call and check in just to see how his friends and family were doing. His smile, his laughter and his large heart made him so special to so many people.
Rob is survived by his wife of 17 years, Carrie (Klusty); his mother and father, Kathy and Roger Lewis; sister and brother-in-law Sarah and David German and nephews Jack and Henry; sister-in-law Carla Dalrymple and niece Alice. Additionally, he is survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins who treasure him. And Rob and Carrie’s cat, Daisy, will miss her early morning buddy.
He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carl and Shirley Klusty and his loving grandparents Richard and Carolyn Lewis and Robert and Eileen Bathen who have welcomed him to heaven and are caring for him now.
A visitation for Rob will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 501 E Mitchell Hammock Rd, Oviedo, FL 32765, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held immediately after at Tuscawilla Country Club, 1500 Winter Springs Blvd, Winter Springs, FL 32708 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
