I miss you more and more each day, as well as our sons.  
It hasn’t been easy, but we are together helping each other. Thanks for your sacrifice.  Now I understand it.  Our grandchildren love you and miss you too.  Mech


Every time i am in Waterbury, CT and cross the bridge there, it makes me think of my Uncle Bob who had a hams in building it.    I have also been remembering a trip to Puerto Rico when i was very young, and he taught me to ride a bike

Roberto Antonio Font or as I called him “Pops”.   He taught me how to be a man, how to think and stand up for myself.   No matter how bad me and my brothers would foul something up he always shared words of wisdom and encouragement.  However upsetting the situation could be he taught us to be level headed.  This was something that I am glad he drilled in me, and I still hear his words today.  I remember the phrases we grew up hearing; “your head makes a better door than a window” or “your full of malarkey”.   I laugh now but as a
kid I wandered what he meant and where he got that from?   My father was a simple man, a good man, and most of all he was a fair man.   I will miss his late night snack wreckage, the assortment of things that weren’t meant to go with each other compiled together as its own living sculpture.  LOL!  That’s what I’ll miss most about him, his quirky ways...Love you Pops, and I couldn’t begin to say thank you enough. 
 

Bobby was my only sibling and we both grew up in a loving,caring home.   Bob, to me, was always a free spirit and I loved listening to all his stories.  Although we didn't live near each other, I thought of him often and he was always in my heart.  He will be very much missed.

Love to you Mercedes and all the boys and family.  You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Bob will be remembered for his love of his family, his love of knowledge and for his warm, caring nature.   

While we lived far away, he was always good to call Nonie or my Mom — always caring and checking in.   We loved his stories and knew he would always be here if needed.  

Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you Tia Mercedes, and all our cousins, as we grieve for Uncle Bob.  Yet we know we are blessed to have him in our hearts Forever.  May he rest in peace.

In life I'm told if you could count your friends on one hand your considered lucky. I am very lucky to have had your friendship. My regret is we didn't connect sooner in life. I feel honored you shared the writings of your memoirs with me and will share them with your family.  Your stories were interesting, your chuckling amusing you will be missed.

Bob will be deeply missed but his knowledge, his stories of his travels, his positive attitude, and his love for ice cream 😊 will always be remembered.  

Abuelo, we won’t ever forget spending some time in the summers with you and Awita when Papi and Mami had to work.  You would treat us to our favorite place, McDonald’s.  We had so much fun.  We love and will miss you tons.  ❤️Kalina and Kiana


We all mourn the loss of Uncle Bob-- great guy , and Uncle--lived a extremely full life filled w his family and friends. Never forget trips to Bayamon P R w his family ,Nonie and Aunt Mercedes . He enjoyed it all . We'll miss his stories on his growing up and his stories on how we all should  carry ourselves. Now He is back w Nonie and she is giving him a piece of her mind as she always did through Bob's entire life-- Wow to hear that conversation! First time Bob didn't get much to say or the last  word. He was a member of our family for so many years and married to Mercedes with whom had three children.  He was a spectacular father and husband.

Thanks Bob for being a member of our family.  We will never forget you or the stories about your travels to other countries.

No words can describe the great man that was my abuelo. Nor a photo show the memories I had with him. Suffice it to say one single phrase described this man more anything i can think of. When the going gets tough the tough get going and you lived it everyday. He showed me what it means to truly be a good man and i will never forget everything you taught me and how you made sure to teach me everything you could. The world wont be the same without you and the impact you left will forever be there. 

To many people you were known as Robert or Bob, but to me you were Abuelo and that is my biggest blessing. Everyday I hear your lessons and jokes and just sit back and truly cherish all you’ve done for me and others. A man who’s traveled the world and best advice was “Always say ‘Good morning’ it’ll help actually make it one!” The memories and stories were endless and always my favorite to hear. I just hope to amount to half of your legacy! A man to always admire. Love you always my dear Abuelo. 

Our condolences to Mercedita, Brian, Steven, Kevin , and related families.  Bob was a good man in every sense of the word and will be missed by all. 

Pops everyday that goes by I miss you more and more. What I would give to kiss you on the head and tell you I LOVEYOU.  I know your watching over us to make sure we are ok. Truth is we are because you taught us how.
