Rosario "Rose" Torres Balagat

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom Rosario (Rose) Torres Balagat on December 18, 2024 after a long, happy and fulfilling life. Rose was married to her beloved Cony for 63 years, sharing a profound love and endless joy. They lived everyday as if it was their last and together they danced their way to immense happiness.

Rose took pride in her career as a Registered Nurse doing what she does best in providing loving care, kindness and empathy to her countless patients and their families.

She is preceded in death by her parents Zacharias Torres and Sebastiana Billedo Torres; her beloved husband Cony; her sisters Remy Torres, Soledad Torres Gumahad, brother in law Arsenio Gumahad.

She is survived by her daughters Tote (John) Parente, Lizbeth (Jim) DelMoro, Son Carlos Balagat; Grandsons Dylan and Niko DelMoro; nieces Vidette McClelland, Babette Gumahad; nephew Arsenio Gumahad Jr.

She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity and impeccable taste for fashion!

Words cannot express how much she will be missed but we take comfort in knowing that she is peacefully resting in God’s arms and reunited with her beloved husband, sisters and parents. She will remain in our hearts forever. We love you, mom.

A visitation for Rosario will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 501 E MITCHELL HAMMOCK RD, OVIEDO, FL 32765. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 6, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5300 Old Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, FL 32792.
