Theresa Ortiz

Theresa Ortiz, 95, died comfortably on January 19, 2023, in her sleep at her home in Oviedo, FL where she lived with her niece, Carmen Lopez, who has been her caretaker for the past 14 years. She was born on August 11, 1927 in Toa Bajo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Jesus and Maria Ortiz.

Due to her disabilities she never attended school and never married. She was a loving and compassionate woman who loved hugs and kisses from her family who called her by her nickname "Teco". Her hobbies were singing and dancing and she loved going to the beach.

In addition to her parents she was the last of her siblings to pass. She was survived by her niece, Carmen Lopez, and her nephews Germino and Ruben Medina as well as several great/great great nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held at 10:30am, Sunday January 29 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home (Goldenrod Chapel), 7520 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, FL. Interment will be at All Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry. Those who wish to remember Theresa in a special way may send gifts to Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home (Goldenrod Chapel), Winter Park.
