Timothy John Sachse

Lt. Timothy John Sachse, age 62 of Oviedo, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. He was born January 26, 1955 in Orlando, Florida. Tim was a Lieutenant with the Oviedo Fire Department. Tim was a dedicated career Firefighter of 41 years; 25 years with Orlando Fire Department and 16 years with Oviedo Fire Department! He was the most loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Best Friend. He was a Hero to all who knew him! Tim loved to hunt with his buddies, was an avid motorcyclist and was often referred to as “MacGyver.” He is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Timothy John Sachse II (Amnee); daughters; Parris Hodges (John), Dallas Sachse (Trent Forquer), Lauren Odessa (Will Forbes) and Carlie Griffin; sister, Jeannie Cornwall (Chuck); brother, Skip Sachse; grandchildren, Jonathan Sachse and Reese Hodges; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Dorinda Hopkins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11AM Monday, May 15, 2017 at the First Baptist Orlando, 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, Florida 32805. A reception will follow at the Orlando Union Hall, 4005 N. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, Florida 32804. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Orlando Professional Firefighters Benevolent Association or the Shane Kelly Memorial Scholarship Fund Inc.
