He was born in Richmond, Virginia on March 21, 1947 to Luey & Dorothy Bayse. William and his wife, Shirley Bayse were together for 42 wonderful years. He retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance where he had worked for 30 years as an appraiser. William proudly served in the United States Marine Corp from 1966 - 1970, as a rifle instructor and a mechanic on the F4 Phantoms. William was an amazing husband, a devoted and loving father to two children, and proud grandfather to one grandchild. His family was his everything. William will forever be remembered to many as the most loving, caring man with a charming sense of wit. His relaxed and inviting personality made William easy to talk to. He was always willing to listen and often offered the perfect guidance in times of need. He enjoyed telling stories of his experiences in life with his family and his time served as a Marine. He had a passion for playing golf, history, traveling and driving in his “topless” convertible Mercedes SLK 250.
William was survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Bayse of Oviedo, Florida, his daughter, Stacy Bayse Bradley, son-in-law Justin Bradley, and granddaughter Teagan Bradley of Orlando, Florida; his son, William (Billy) Bayse and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Bayse of Orlando, Florida; his brothers: Thomas Bayse of Chesapeake, Virginia; Dennis (Butch) Bayse of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Douglas (Doug) Bayse of Kiowa, Ohio; Ronald (Ronnie) Bayse of Portsmouth, Virginia; and sister Dorothy Bayse of Chesapeake, Virginia.
