"William G. Wise, a man of humble greatness, finished his race and received his prize on Friday, Feb. 5th. He was born in Indiana in 1942 and while attending Concordia Seminary married his best friend and life-long partner, Dorothy Duda. During his 49 years of pastoring, his passion was to see churches, communities and nations fully alive in God’s purpose for them. The legacy of this gentle giant lives on in his wife of 49 years, Dorothy; children, Tim Wise, Tricia Davis, Susan Kummer, Jason Wise and their spouses; 12 grandchildren, and all who were touched by his love, compassion and conviction. As a servant of God who accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, Bill preached the gospel (and when necessary, used words). Graveside service will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran cemetery in Oviedo at 11:00am with reception following at Lutheran Haven Fellowship Hall. May the same peace and hope that he knew be yours also."
