aj is always going to play an important part in my life, and in such a positive, impactful way. when i had first met aj, i was new to pgms and i was quite shy and wasn’t sure i wasn’t going to fit in with everyone since it was a new school. then once i had got to history class, i had to sit next to aj. aj wasn’t afraid to talk to me and make me feel comfortable. he made me feel like i had know him for years or what not. aj brought the best vibes and was very social. eventually we got close towards one and another. aj even had asked if i wanted to go to fall ball with him, and i said yes. i remember the night like it was yesterday, even though i was a very shy and awkward girl in middle school, aj would always try his best to make me feel comfortable. we even took pictures at the photo booth and also made sure to include my cousin in the photos as well. yet even tho aj didn’t know how to slow dance, he still slow danced with me regardless if he didn’t know 😂. the song that played while we danced was Put Your Head On My Shoulders by Paul Anka. that song will forever remind me of aj. despite me moving schools aj always had kept in touch with me and always checked up on me. always thinking of you aj, and forever will miss you🫂💙

Today marks 3 years that my Angelo left this world. I'm lighting a candle for him today in hopes that wherever he is he's finally at peace. Orange candles are used to promote positive thinking, justice, courage, and change. Just so happens that's the only color I had so I think this is perfect for him 🕯🧡 I know he had such a hard time mentally, especially the last year or so of his life. The thought of everything we went through absolutely kills me. As a mom we wish we could take away all the pain and I tried my best but some things can't be fixed unless they come from within. I do think that eventually he would have come out of it better, happier and stronger, he just never got the chance to do that. I chose to honor this picture of Angelo because this was our happiest time. I think he was 4, this was his preschool picture. Life was so good, mommy was the best, and Legos, swimming, super heroes, going to park and snuggling were his favorite things. My beautiful baby boy..He is so deeply loved and missed. AJ, I hope you know how much I think about you. I’m so lucky to have known you and I admire how you always stayed true to yourself. I wish I had more opportunities to talk to you while you were here. I have yet to meet someone as funny, charismatic, true, and talented as you. 
Thank you Universe, for giving me the opportunity to coexist with AJ and I promise in the next life I’ll do more to help people in my life struggling with addiction.

It was a year ago today that my perfect world came crashing down with the passing of my beloved grandson Angelo. There is not a day or a moment that I don't think of him. The only thing that has helped me deal with his loss has been to visit him everyday, to talk to him, play his music, read from the bible or just simply sit there and feel close to him. On Sundays my wife Amalia and I fix his flowers and we make sure his flowers are always fresh and beautiful. Loved ones also drop off beautiful mementos as tokens of their love. He was and is so loved!  At work I have a digital picture frame that changes pictures every 10 seconds and I have all of the Angelo pictures I ever took of him. He is gone in body but his presence is with me every minute of my day. I love you Angelo, I miss you and I look forward to the day when I will be buried next to you so we can be together forever. I was heart broken to hear of Angelo's passing. As Angelo's second grade teacher at Robert Down Elementary, what I remember most about Angelo are his GIANT bear hugs. He'd often run up and give me a huge squeeze - super kind and strong. I remember how much he loved his sister - back then she was still in a stroller. I also remember how his eyes would quietly sparkle when he was proud about something. Ashley, Joe, and family - my heart goes out to you.

Dear Angelo, today we say good by to you and although we didn't get to see you much because of the distance, we always loved you and I will always remember how strong you were. My happiest memory of you is when  you came to a birthday party, you were probably around 3 or 4 years old and you were trying to smash that piñata with all your heart. I still can see you, how determined you were! I also remember how well behaved and kind you were when we visited in Carmel and our hearts break to know we won't see you again. But please know that we'll always remember you and keep you in our hearts. All your family in Bolivia loves you so much!

It was with a heavy heart that I learned of the passing of Angelo, an amiable young man  who was in the flowering of his youth.

Present at many get togethers, I know he was cared for and immensely loved by his Family. It will be hard for the Family, and all of us who knew him, to accept that he is no longer with us.

I was scrolling through my old pictures and I found this.The time Angelo and Joe came over to my house to celebrate Angelo’s 9th birthday. Christ, I remember it like it was last week.

He was such a great kid! Always happy to be around his friends.

I can barely bring myself to type this out without tears filling my eyes. I met you in when we were in kindergarten, I had recently come to this country and had no knowledge of American social culture or the English language yet you still understood my need for friendship and were there to offer yours. You were my first, and my longest lasting friend. A loyal, trustworthy, generous, thoughtful, compassionate, and overall fantastic person. I’m overwhelmed with memories of everything we’ve been through together. The thought of your sense of humor, your surreal yet profound understanding of life, your enormous heart, and unforgettably wonderful soul bring a wave of heartbreaking nostalgia. You were always so kind, so supportive, and just about the best human being I have ever met. I love you, and miss you. Though not by blood, you were  and always will be my brother, and there will be a void in my soul knowing you are gone. God speed you kind, loyal, and overall wonderful soul. Your name couldn’t have fit you better, for you are truly an angel. If only you could see the love that you inspired, not only in your family, but in your friends, and their families.  

And to Ashley and Joe,
I can’t imagine what you are going through. To lose a son, must be one of the worst things one can experience in life. All my deepest condolences and prayers are with you. I wish I had something comforting I could say, but alas, there is nothing that can take away this sort of pain. I am truly sorry for your loss. And I weep at the mere thought of what you must feel.

Angelo was a kind, thoughtful, creative and loving young man. He embraced the community at school like a family, and we all loved him very much. We will miss him, and he is in our hearts and thoughts every day. He was our bright star, our ping pong champion, our rapper, our skateboard expert, our spokesman, and our friend. We are thinking of all of you through this loss, and we send our love to you all.

Our son was such a good boy. He was kind and sensitive. He loved his friends and he loved music. He was strong and had a bigger body type. Strong and silent is how I can describe him. He was goofy and unique. He went through many different styles with his hair and his clothes. Some were a little wild but we always tried to remind him that it's okay to be himself. That was one of my favorite things about him. He was unique and had his own style. He didn't care what others thought about it and he did what he thought was cool. He was so creative with his drawings, sewing, and his music. He was able to write songs and made his own music. He was really good at it too. We miss him dearly and hope that he can finally find peace.  Our sweet boy, we just love and miss him so much.

"If I could I'd catch a falling star, to shine on you so I'll know were you are". Words can't explain the immense pain, emptiness and sadness I feel son. I don't have a favorite moment with you because every single second of every moment with you was special. Field trips at Robert Down, coaching your t-ball and baseball team, playing endless video games with you, watching all your favorite youtubers with you. The proudest moment of my life was when you were born. Such a big baby. I rebember naming the company after you "Big Angelo's" and putting your name as big as I could on all the trucks. I remember your first word being Dad and the first time you walked. The first time you smiled at me. I remember it all son. I remember all of your friends and taking all of you to the movies or arcade on cannery row or ordering pizza and they would stay the night.  I miss texting, talking to you and facetime with you. I started to text you earlier, then of course I remembered. You used to face your phone to the TV and play video games amd we would hang out and it would almost be like old times. I miss you son. You know how much I love you. In closing I dedicate a song to you. "Closer" by Goapele. And "Be Alright" by Zapp. It's alright son, I promise its gonna be alright.I can't wait to see you again. I remember Angelo in pre school at MPC with my son Jameson. They were immediately buddies and Ash and I became immediate friends. We both shared deep love and affection for our sons and helped each other with rides and play dates. The dinners and fun times shared together will always hold a special place in my heart. The boys got older and remained good friends. We are so blessed to have known Angelo and will forever hold his spirit and music in our hearts.

This was December 31st, 2021 and little did we know what this year would bring us. I feel so grateful and blessed that we got to celebrate it together. Our 2 god families bringing in the new year. You were the best big god brother and you always looked out for your little god siblings. You literally helped teach Isaac to ice skate and taught Isabella how to jump on the trampoline. I will cherish our memories forever. I miss you so much Angelo. Idk when this pain will go away… probably never. Dear Ashley, Michael and Alecia, my heart is with you and your sweet family and friends.  I remember meeting Angelo and what a sweet soul he is.  The physical body passes but your relationship will live eternally.  Though the sorrow will travel with you all the days of your life so will the joy that Angelo brought with him.  i've learned that the sorrow of death will never surpass the joy of our childrens' birth and the time we shared together. Friends and loved ones: this is not the time for us to live with regrets, that would only dishonor his memory. He lived his live to the fullest, he loved us and we loved him back. What a gift he is to us!

I met Angelo when Gibson and Alecia were in preschool together, so he was about 9 or 10 years old. He was quiet, but so sweet and polite. As he grew, I expected the typical teenage attitude, but that’s honestly never what I got. There was a sweetness in his eyes when he looked at me, and he always treated me with respect. Heaven gained an angel sooner than any of us ever wanted, and a hole is left in the hearts of so many. Rest In Peace sweet boy. 

I want to also thank all of you for your kind words. I'm very grateful for Mario especially. Rhonda, Thank you for loving my son as your grandchild. Janna you were an awesome Nana to Angelo. Ashley, I'm sorry for letting Angelo down and not being here when he needed me most. I promised him I would be home soon but it didn't come soon enough. It's something I'll carry to my grave. You were the best to Angelo. A great mother to him. I'll be home soon. I promised Angelo many times I would never give up. And that's still my promise to our son.

Ashley, I am sending you and your whole family all my love and all my prayers. It's clear Angelo touched the lives of so many, he was a gift to the world and his memory will be a blessing to all he knew.

Ohh Sweetpea- One of the most precious photo's I have. You were 2 days old and so tiny. This picture is why I called you sweetpea. Like a little pea in a pod. You made me the original Nana.
You grew into an amazing young man that had a heart of gold. 

I cannot believe that you are gone. You will forever be in my heart and missed more than is even imaginable.  My heart is broken beyond. I pray that you are in peace.

You touched so many lives that I don't think you ever knew.

Just before our last trip you stopped by and as you were walking up the driveway to give me a hug  I told you that you were exactly what I needed in that moment. To see your face and to get me some love. It was in that moment that I realized how much you had grown. How much you had matured. Instead of me hugging  you, you were hugging me.  You told me it was gonna be all right. You told me you loved me.   I want that right now! Right now, I want to tell you that it will be all right, that I love you. 
I know it will be alright. I know that our God, Jehovah will resurrect you. I have been fantasizing about it every day. I see it in my minds eye. I see your face with pure joy and the realization that our conversations have come to fruition. Until then my baby boy…… I love you with all my heart.

The first time I met Angelo was in Pacific Grove when he was looking for a house to rent for his grandmother.  They got the little house and Angelo loved it because it was in the woods. I got to love the family and his grandmother became a blessing in my life. I know that he was the best big brother that there could ever be. And Angelo was just too cool.
