Betty Lou Day

Betty Lou "Sunny" Day died peacefully in her home on July 30, 2014. Born in San Francisco on December 5, 1930, she was a lifelong Monterey Peninsula resident. She was a homemaker and an active volunteer for many local organizations including the Girl Scouts, the Buddy Program, Monterey Eskaton, Volunteers in Action, and Meals on Wheels. She was a 1948 graduate of Pacific Grove High School.

She is survived by her daughters, Char Cunningham (Donald) of Monterey and Victoria Day, DDS, of Napa, as well as her brother Frederick Guild Jr. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Allshouse, and her half-sister, Judith DeBow.

At her request, no services are planned.

Vicki and Charlotte -- I just learned of you mom's passing and I'm sorry for your loss. She was such a spark plug and her fun energy made for some memorable weekend dinners at your house in the couple/few years right before I started high school.
