Carolyn Harding Motzel

Carmel ~ Dr. Carolyn H. Motzel, a thirteen-year resident of the Monterey Peninsula, passed away in Monterey on June 16. Born March 17, 1932 in Los Angeles, she was a dentist who practiced in the field of public health for over twenty years before moving to this area. Dr. Motzel was an active member of USAUNA.

Dr. Motzel is survived by her children, Werner (Caroline) Motzel of Big Sur, Warren (Anne Rose) Motzel of Bingen, Germany and Denise Motzel of Cologne, Germany; her brother, Peter (Peggy) Harding of Big Sur and her sister, Florence Hiscock of Laguna Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Werner Motzel.

Visitation will take place this Tuesday, June 21 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at The Paul Mortuary Chapel. Cremation will be private. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Big Sur Health Clinic, Highway One, Big Sur, 93920.
