Daniel Michael Musker

Dan, a Carmel resident for forty-five years, was born in Chicago to Daniel Musker and Catherine Sipple Musker. He attended St. Vincent’s Catholic School in River Forest. After moving to Tucson, Arizona, he graduated from the University of Arizona.

Capt. Dan, as he was known to many people, received his US Merchant Marine Officer certification from the US Coast Guard. A Master Class Captain, he was the proud owner of Scenic Bay Sailing School and Yacht Charters. Dan was licensed and certified to scatter ashes at sea and received many commendation letters for his service.

Dan loved sailing and racing on the waters of Monterey Bay and was a member and Past Commodore of the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club. He was a former member of the Monterey Elks Lodge.

Dan is survived by his wife, Christine; daughters, Jacquie (John) Smith and Judy (Jeff) Tujetsch; grandchildren, Julie, Joni, Janelle, Meagan, David and Stephanie and great-grandchildren, Mark, Michael, JC and Riker.
