Monterey ~ Elizabeth LaMorris Hagood was received by our Lord on April 13, 2013. Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, she came to Ft. Ord, California with her husband, Lawrence Hagood. They made the Monterey Peninsula their home for over 60 years where Elizabeth served the community as a registered nurse. After more than two decades of service, she retired from the Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. Elizabeth was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Cass St. in Monterey.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Alana Myles; her sons, Paul, Elliott, Russell, and Charles; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in 1999.
Visitation will take place at The Paul Mortuary Chapel this Monday, April 22 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a graveside service at 12:00 Noon at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside.
