Pacific Grove ~ Maxine Flanigan, a native of Arkansas City, Kansas, moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1946. As a military wife, she and her family lived in Washington, Germany and North Carolina during the 1960’s. She worked for fifteen years at Purity Bakery in Pacific Grove.
Maxine was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Eastern Star for over fifty years. She was also a long-time member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Maxine is survived by her children, Charlotte (Julio) Olmo of Seaside and Earl (Iris) Flanigan of Pahrump, Nevada and three grandsons. Her husband, Lewis, preceded her in death in 2001.
