He was born on May 16, 1964, and looking forward to celebrating his 50th in just a few short months.
Erik and Kelly were married in 1988 and just recently celebrated their 25th anniversary with a sunset bonfire on the beach, enjoying living their dream of residing by the ocean. Erik was practicing architecture at a slower pace and taking time for golf, dog walks, and fun times with wonderful friends.
The facts of Erik's life do not begin to describe the enormous impact he had on those who knew him and could depend on him in friendships, work relationships, and even daily encounters. He was bigger than life and made everyone around him feel safe and secure. Erik's love and consideration for others was sincere and consistent, and those of us who have been privileged to call him husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, and dog daddy have been blessed beyond belief.
Erik had a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and loved Him deeply. We know "The Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore, encourage each other with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
Donations can be made in Erik's honor to NorCal Aussie Rescue in Auburn, CA and Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue in Sacramento, CA
