Salt of the earth/Man of the sea. Joe was many things to many people; husband, father, nonu, respected fisherman who was known for his work ethic well into his later years, his love for fishing and the sea was only exceeded by his love for his devoted family. Though as nails, but quick to smile, especially when his Giants would win, he was a man of few words, instead letting his actions speak for him. Mentor to generations of Monterey Bay fisherman, I would say to him,"Joe, your the luckiest guy on earth, because you truely love what you do for a living" and it showed! Calls from our trips to Hawaii/Vegas to check on the fishing proved this to me. As a son-in-law I am so proud to be a part of his family. Barb and I will continue to miss him. What a man! He has mentored and taught so many people, lived an amazing life, shared so much knowledge and love, and was an inspiration to those who knew  him. Joe's smile, laugh and positive attitude, even in difficult times, was to be admired and emulated. His influence in my life is indelible;as a great fisherman, father, storyteller, man of many abilities and resources. He had zest for work, friends, and family, and was so dear to me and my family throughout my life. May all whom he leaves behind be comforted in his memory! We will never forget him!

Giuseppe Aliotti was a well-respected man that left lasting impressions with those of lives he touched. On many occasions I have mentioned the Aliotti name and they always asked about Joe. Some of them letting me know that he was an incredible mentor to them, and a man worth anyone's respect. 
All I know is how he made my daughter smile because he smiled at her dancing and playing around him. They didn't have words, but the smiles were enough for both. How he touched the life of my sister on the few trips they got to enjoy together, and the times spent as her father-in-law seemed happy times!
No matter what age you are when you lose your father, it hurts... deeply. My sincere empathy to my brother-in-law Rob; as well as your family. May my sympathy act as an additional heart supporting this load of heartache...

Interpret how it's most meaningful for you, but I sure hope this means that Giuseppe Joe will be smiling down on his family and that there is one more angel looking out for all of those that miss him. Love and hugs to you all.
