Born in Boston on Dec 27, 1921, Mrs. MacDonald had lived in Pacific Grove for 70 years. She retired in 1980.
Mrs. MacDonald was Purchasing and Contracting Officer at the Presidio of Monterey in the 1950’s. She was with the Pacific Grove School District for 15 years retiring as Attendance Clerk.
She is survived by her two sons, Tom of Napa and Bob of Marina; a daughter, Cathy of Elk Grove; a sister, Flo D’Orsi of Boston; two grandsons, Gerald and Scott and great grandson Keighon Serrano.
The rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at St. Angela’s Catholic Church, 146 8th St., Pacific Grove.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church after followed by burial in El Carmelo Cemetery. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
