childhood in Houston, Texas, but in his heart he always considered New Orleans his home. Herbie, along with his wife Malina, own and operate
Blackthorne Pools and Spas in Salinas. His biggest passion was customer service and always asked how would the customer feel? Herbie is survived by his four children, Brandy and Bri of Houston, Texas, Chance of Seaside, CA and Herbie of Meridian, Idaho, as well as three granddaughters. He is also survived by his three brothers, Jeremiah, Brandon, and Johny, and his two sisters Brandy and Brittany. A celebration of Herbie's life will be held at Blackthorne Pools and Spas, 148 John Street in Salinas on Saturday, January 2nd at 2:00pm.
