Carmel ~ Irene Henderson, a native of Winfield, Texas, passed away at her home. She has made her home in Carmel since 1962. Irene lived her life surrounded by her family in both Yuma, Arizona and Carmel.
The mother of two sons, Larry and Mike Barber, Irene was so proud of everything they accomplished. She touched her family and friends with her loving personality and kind heart. Most of all, she found joy in cooking and taking care of her loved ones.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Barber, and her parents, Lee Phillips and Viola Ferguson. In addition to her sons, she is survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Irene will be greatly missed.
