

Jim attended and graduated from Visalia Senior High School and College of the Sequoias
Jim then graduated from San Jose State University with a teaching credential, and a Masters in Science.
While attending SJSU, he met his future bride Lynne Mason, a storybook romance that lasted 53 years.
Jim and Lynne were married on August 6, 1960 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Monterey CA.
Anyone who knew Jim and Lynne knew that they were in love and that their marriage was one to aspire to.
Jim enjoyed a successful career as a teacher at Andrew Hill High School in San Jose for 34 years.
After retiring he spent countless hours as a docent at both Garland Park and Point Lobos. He was often seen volunteering at the many local golf tournaments as Director of Spectator Transportation. Jim was a proud member of Sons in Retirement (SIRS), he worked up the ranks Little SIR to Big SIR.
His favorite pastimes were leading people at Garland Park on wildflower hikes, educational hikes at Point Lobos educating visitors about the history of Point Lobos’ Whaler’s Cabin, and playing a round of golf with Lynne and friends
Jim is survived by his wife Lynne (Pinky), daughter Shawn (Pollard), Son Todd, grandchildren, Anthony and Brittany, sister Catherine and nephew Michael O'Neil.
Jim touched so many with his passion to create and craft. His many hobbies included golf, photography, wildflowers, ceramics, wood working, macramé, and taxidermy
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, Saturday November 23, 2013 at 10 O’clock.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Balesteri’s At Laguna Seca Golf Ranch Sunday December 15, 2013 at one o’clock.
