Mrs. Fournier graduated from the Bellevue School of Nursing in New York City in 1950 and served as a staff nurse at that hospital. She came to the Monterey area when her husband was stationed at Fort Ord. She worked as a registered nurse here for several years before starting a second career in real estate, which she enjoyed for many years.
Mrs. Fournier was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Fournier, who passed away on Feb. 5, 2017. She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Fournier of Seaside and Ramona Schlecht of Elk Grove, and a sister, Lorraine Pedretti, of San Jose. She has two grand children, Joseph Schlecht and Sarah Schlecht Kloss, and two great grand-children, Colton Kloss and Adalynn Ann Kloss.
