John Linares passed away in his home surrounded by his family on May 2, 2021. He was born in Pacific Grove and was the youngest of eight sibling boys. He grew up on 2nd St. and later Foam St.
As a young man, John worked as a caddy, then went on to commercial fishing until he started a longtime career as a plasterer and eventually became a contractor.
John loved his Harley motorcycle travels with his wife and belonged to the California Site Seers. He also loved baseball and chasing after his great-grandchildren and taking them for rides on his Quad. He loved the Lord and was a longtime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marjorie; three daughters, Sandy (Ray), Debbie (Bob) and Laurie (Mickey); six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held due to the current pandemic.
