Johnathan Troy Linares

Pacific Grove ~ Johnathan Troy Linares, age 54, passed away peacefully on March 27 after a short illness. Troy, the son of Johnny W. Linares and Patricia Ann Dorney-Linares, was born in Monterey and raised in Pacific Grove.

Troy loved sports, especially Basketball and Track and watching football with his grandmother, Dora. He enjoyed music and particularly enjoyed family events.

Troy was loved and cherished by his family. We will miss his beautiful smile and his laugh. He will be fondly remembered and missed by those who knew and loved him. Troy will live on in our hearts and minds forever.

A special thanks to the staff at Gateway Center in Pacific Grove and the San Andreas Regional Center in Salinas for their loving care of Troy.

Troy is survived by his brother, Patrick J. Linares and his aunt, Doris Owens and numerous other aunts and uncles as well as many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother, Dora, who helped raise him.
