June Marie Clark

June Marie (Mulholland) Clark, 90, died peacefully at her home on December 12, 2013, after a brief struggle with cancer. She was born on June 12, 1923 in Fort Worth, Texas. She spent her youth in the Portland area of Oregon.

June was a Monterey resident for the last 61 years of her life. She was a devoted member of the Seaside First Baptist Church since its inception in the 1950’s by her father, Pastor Ralph Mulholland, and other believers in the area. June also worked at a downtown Monterey insurance agency for decades. Her husband Wally passed away in 1987.

Grandchildren and great grandchildren brought special joy to June’s life. Her love and devotion to her family was only surpassed by her love for the Lord Jesus Christ, with whom she now lives.

June is survived by her sister Grace of Colorado, brother Dewey of California; daughter Sharon (Alan) Sparkman and sons Stephen (Kim), Daniel (Barbara Sayre) and William (Holly); nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Central Coast and the wonderful caregivers from Halo Home Care for their devotion to June in her final days.

An 11AM memorial service will be held at the Seaside First Baptist Church at La Salle and Waring Streets on 12/18/13, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Low Vision Center of Pacific Grove or the Andrew Popp Scholarship Fund at www.sportsoutreach.net would be appreciated.
