Kathy Lorraine Terry

Monterey ~ Our beloved and beautiful Kathy Lorraine Terry took her last breath on June 17. Kathy was an amazing, wonderful, loving wife and mother. She was blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family.

Kathy was born in San Jose to William and Mildred Burgess and grew up on the Monterey Peninsula. She attended Bay View Elementary, Walter Colton Middle School, Monterey High School and Monterey Peninsula College.

Kathy worked for over thirty years in the medical field, the last eighteen years at the CHOMP Westland House.

Kathy was an extraordinary woman with many talents. She was a gifted painter, ballet dancer and musician and had an amazing skill for knitting and crocheting. She also loved the Monterey Jazz Festival which she attended for 35 years in a row.

Kathy leaves behind a loving family to mourn her: her husband of thirty-three years, Solomon R. Terry, Jr; her loving daughter, Megan R. Terry; her brother Donald (Sheila) Burgess; her sister-in-law, Ruby L. Terry; her brother-in-law, Jerry (Barbara) Terry and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.

Kathy’s family would like to give special thanks to Dr. John Hausdorff and the wonderful staff at the Community Hospital Oncology Department.

Visitation will take place at The Paul Mortuary Chapel this Thursday, June 26 from 4:00 PM until the Vigil Service at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Angela Merici Church in Pacific Grove on Friday, June 27 at 11:00 AM.
