

Linda Anne Rhoads, 73, passed away peacefully December 20th surrounded by loving family. She was born October 15, 1941 in Malden, Massachusetts, to Robert Thompson and Dorothy Crowley Thompson. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1959 and from St. Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania, in 1964. Following college she worked in New York City where she met the love of her life, Roger Rhoads. They married in Alexandria, Virginia, on May 27, 1967, and moved to Los Angeles immediately after, where they settled and raised two daughters, Amy and Kristin.
Linda was an avid sports-fan; she enjoyed golf as a long-time member of Los Angeles Country Club, bowling, and was a lifelong Dodger fan. She was an active member in her church, St. Paul the Apostle, and in her daughters’ schools. She and Roger also enjoyed travelling, especially to Scotland! Roger and Linda spent the last 15 years living in Pebble Beach.
Linda was a kind and beautiful woman who was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Roger, daughter Amy Rhoads Fara (Jeff), daughter Kristin Rhoads Clinch (Chris) her sister, Caryl Herwick (Paul), brother Dana Thompson (Aldona), and six grandchildren: Dylan, Kieran, Cameron, and Mason Fara, and Alex and Avery Clinch, who were the lights of her life, and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
A funeral mass will be held in Linda’s honor at St. Angela Merici Church in Pacific Grove, on January 10th, 2015, at 10:30 am. A reception will follow at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club Beach House, located on the water where Old 17-Mile Drive meets 17-Mile Drive.
