Seaside ~ Lucy L. Davi, born in Monterey and a life-long resident, passed away in Spokane, Washington. An Alzheimer’s patient, she had moved there three years to live near her son, Frank. Lucy retired as the cafeteria manager at Ord Terrace School in Seaside after a career spanning over thirty years.
Lucy was a long-time and very active member of St. Francis Xavier Parish. She was also a member of the Italian Catholic Federation and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She and her late husband shared many wonderful travels in their motor home. Lucy is remembered by her family as the best cook and baker ever – especially known for her apple pies and cookies.
Lucy is survived by her children, Frank of Spokane, Robert of Salinas and Francesca Murphy of Salinas; her grandchildren, Jeanine Coffman, Bert Davi, Lucy Roath, Frank Davi, Jr., Vincent Davi, Patrick and Christopher Desimone, Michelle Shamblin and Laura Bull; her sister, Faye Russo of Salinas; many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent “Tony” Davi in 2002; her son, Anthony “Gig” Davi in 2009 and by her siblings, Sebastian, Vincent, Joe and Frank Sollecito, Eleanor Cerrito and Connie Sorci.
Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Angela Merici Church in Pacific Grove this Tuesday, January 22 at 11:00 AM followed by burial at San Carlos Catholic Cemetery.
