It's been 12 years since you left us to join your Heavenly Father. I still miss you every single day. If I could have had a little more time to tell you and ask you questions that I did not think to ask, I would be ever so grateful. The last of my aunts/uncles passed away and none of your siblings are alive to answer the questions.
Your children have now become the next generation. Whoever thought that would come to pass...
In life, I loved, honored, and respected you. In death I still do. May our Lord give you eternal rest and peace and keep you in perpetual light. One day we shall cross paths and reunite. Until then I will keep loving you.

I love you so very much and miss you terribly. Jesse and I talk practically everyday, and you are always in our conversations, funny how alot of it has to do with your fabulous food which is without par, I also mention always how amazed I am still how you made every holiday happen even though we did not have the money required. I don't know how you did it Sweet Mother of mine, but I, for one, shall be eternally grateful to you for all the wonderful memories that you left me with. I shall never forget your beautiful smile and your laughter and your child-like qualities, you did not require much to make you happy, you saw the beauty in the smallest of things and were so appreciative at the thought. Thank you for passing that on to me; you showed me by example that it is not the gift or the size, but rather that someone thought about me, that is what was precious about you. I am so happy that I got the best of your characteristics and qualities. No one can ever take that away from me. I will leave you for now mama, say hello to my brothers Adam and Danny and his baby Nicholas. May you all dance in joy every day and May the Lord present all of you with eternal light, peace, and rest. Mother, I am so sorry I did not stay with you just another couple of months; I knew your time was short, but I left you after 5 weeks and I had to have neck surgery with fusion and I was still in the hospital the morning that Nancy Moreno, Hospice nurse called at 5am PST to tell me you had taken your last breath. I try not to be so hard on myself for not listening to my intuition but I know you love me and hold no ill-will or bad thoughts towards me. It is my great joy that in spite of mask, gown and all the garb you still knew it was me, your daughter, the night I came to tell you I was leaving the next morning; I remember telling you it's Delia cause I thought you would not know who I was with all the garb on me, all that was exposed was my eyes, but you immediately said 'I know it's you Delia'; I didn't quite believe it and wanted to make sure you knew, so I took the mask off and you said, 'I told you I know it's you'. You were as sharp as ever even though the Lord was going to come knocking on your door and lead you out with Him and his Angels. You were and continue to be special to me and Bob, We gave you a send-off fit for a queen, because it is what you deserved. I sent you with my first set of cultured pearls that were given to me 'cause you said you wanted pearls as part of your going away outfit. I am always with you and you are always with me mamasita. I need to be happy that God was merciful and took you to a place where you would be pain free and able to walk and dance wherever and whenever. Thank you Mama for all the sacrifices you made for me and my siblings.You basically gave your life up for your children. Dios que la bendiga siempre Madre de mi corazon. Amen

I love and miss you so much Madre mia. May the Lord keep you in eternal rest, peace, and love and perpetual light. Just yesterday Eva and I were talking about how you never failed to provide every single holiday for yor children; you could have taken the easy way out by saying there was no money for the holidays, but you always pulled the rabbit out of the proverbial hat and always made it happen . I will place a plate in your honor as Bob and I often do, you always were as a child when you were preparing your fabulously delicious meals. Querida madrecita,

I love you and miss you, but I know you are always with me. Bob and I had quiet holidays, Jesse cooked up a storm for himself and friends. You taught him well. He is doing really well, you would be proud, he and Bob really hit it off and I'm happy about that. I'm sorry I've not gone to visit you more often in the recent past, I haven't been doing too well from the surgery, its better but such a slow process, I know it's all on God's time, but I miss my life. It's been quite the challenge. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, pray for your family with our dear Lord whom you are so close to. Stephanie's brother Max passed away so you 2 have probably run into each other. May God keep you in the palm of His hand and give you peace and repose to your soul. Today's is Eva's birthday. It was sad not having you here to wish you Happy Holidays and to hear your voice. I miss you so very much Mama, so much that was never said or done, and that makes me sad, but I was gone right out of high school and didn't go back home too often, I wish I had, but I can't look back, only forward, only way to go. God will give me the Grace to carry on, that much I know and I know that you are watching over us from up above in Heaven, Though I miss you, I'm happy you no longer suffer, for that I am grateful. I'm honored that you chose to bring me into the world as your beloved child. You were the best Mother, you made your children your priority and were always there for us and made sure we had what we needed and I don't know how you did it but you celebrated and made every single holiday happen for us, I remember you used to sew our Halloween costumes for us, I remember the year I wanted to go as a character out of the Flintstones and you made the off-the-shoulder top and the miniskirt for me, it was black and white polka dotted and had some red in it, and when we were done trick or treating that one time we stopped at DairyTreet for ice cream, they had the best dipcones, they don't make them like that anymore. You were a pretty awesome woman, I just don't know how you did it. You are pretty incredible, I wish I had had more time with you as a woman, but I left as a young girl of 19 and missed out on that part of a relationship with you as a woman, not as a child. I love you mamasita linda, me hace tanta falta, I'm sitting right next to your favorite picture right now, each morning I bless you and thank Jesus for another day of life. I'll visit you soon Mama. Bob and Jesse say hi and send their love, Bob tells Jesse about the times when you didn't have to say anything, just one look said it all. We talk about you often and Jesse and I get to share stories about us as children and how incredible you were and how you always made things happen at a time when it was not easy for women. Querida Madrecita, como me hace falta. I love you very much Mother and miss hearing your voice and your laughter and your spunk. I'm glad you lived your life on your terms and not the norm. Thank you for passing that on to me, your strength, your personal power, the power to say 'yes I can' and so much more.

Tonight the Carmel Bereavement Ministry gifted you with a one year Remembrance and Memory Mass on your one year death anniversary. It was held at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, next to the Carmel Mission, just a little ways from it.It was celebrated by Father Freddy and I asked him if he would take a photo with me for my memory book, so we stood in the Sacristy and took a photo. I want to remember everything. Jane whom I met at the Candlelight Service in December 2011 came and brought you a beautiful rose arrangement, and Bob and I went to Orchard Supply and bought a beautiful floral arrangement in a container with a wrought iron stand, it has the United States flag in the center of the stand and I remember you were always patriotic. And last but not least we got you a little box of Whitman chocolates 'cause I know how much you like chocolate. Our friends, Wayne and Diana Thornton came to celebrate you as well. Rafa was going to come but had to work. Anyway , it was a little cozy gathering. Jane, Bob,and I went to El Palomar for Mexican food and to chat. Your gravesite looks beautiful Mama and it will look more beautiful in time; I just need more stamina and energy, my neck and midback still bother me quite a bit, but I just keep pushing through the pain as well as I can. Jesse is doing fine. Bob is very stressed, so please pray with the Lord for him and me, as well as your other children. I pray that the Lord keep your soul in repose, to guide you with light and to love you and cradle you as a child. Please intercede in prayer for Bob and I and all the peoples of the world, for we are onr people. Say hi to Adam and Danny an little Nicholas. Ok Mamasita its been a long day and I am exhausted so I am going to lay this tired bones to bed and go to sleep and we will talk again real soon. Manana sera el primer ano en que mi madrecita no va estar en este mundo para desearle Feliz dia de Madres. Me hace falta, pero me da orgullo que ya no sufre y que esta feliz con su Senor en el cielo. I will miss talking to you Mother and sending you flowers and wishing you a Happy Mothers Day. I have been talking with Jesse and he said to tell you hi and that he loves you. You would be very proud of him, I know I am and I let him know; Bob and I are helping him get settled into his apartment and to keep his spirits high with words of encouragement. He's doing great! I know you know that. Tomorrow I shall go to Mass and then I will bring you beautiful flowers and read the Gospel from  your Bible to you and chat for awhile, Bob will be with me. Jesse is going to help us design your headstone considering he is so artistic, so I'm happy about that, it will be beautiful. I'll call Tia Ramona and wish her a Happy Mother's Day and Stephanie as well. Tio Jose is struggling getting his wife into a home, she had a stroke and that is why he could not come to the funeral because he had just brought her home on December 15 and your Mass was Dec 16, 2011. Ok Mama, I will see you tomorrow. You know its May, the month of Mary, I guess that's why they made May, Mother's Day. Well, pray to the Lord for all your children and families and I love you and miss you, I bless your beautiful face each morning and pray to Jesus on the Crucifix next to your favorite picture. On July 27, 2012 the Carmel Bereavement Ministry will be holding a Mass in Memory of you at 530p in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, its right next to the Carmel Mission Basilica where we had your Mass of Christian Burial. I was really surprised when I received it in the mail. See Mama, you may not be here, but you are not forgotten and as long as I have breath in my body your memory shall live on and on. I love you Mamasita, and I should go to bed cause tomorrow will be a long day and I haven't been sleeping very well cause my neck still hurts quite a bit from the surgery; it hasn't yet been a year and sometimes I wish I had left things alone, but the option was not a great one, so as long as I have progress I shall count my blessings. Please intercede in prayer for me Mama, cause I have got to start feeling better soon. I don't know how you endured 11.5 years; I know it was your faith that got you through. May God continue to shed His Grace and Light on you and give your soul continued rest. My love went with you on the day I laid you to rest and life will never be the same without you here. I wish we had had more time together but the Lord needed you and it was time for your suffering to stop. Love from all your children and Bob; I have joy in my heart for my brother Jesse and he knows you are fine, he says you came to visit him when you departed this plane, just as Adam did when he passed away, he told him he had come by to let him know that he was gone, but that he did not want to upset him and that he would see him around and then he turned around and left. Jesse is extremely intuitive and sensitive and I am happy he is in my life. I love you Mama, su hija, Delia.

I love you Mother and miss you. I just talked to Stephanie (Tia Victoria's) daughter, we talked about you, she wrote in the Guest book of all the wonderful times she spent at Granpa's ranch. Although I miss you, I am joyful that you are with your Lord whom you were such a faithful servant to and raised all your children knowing Christ our Lord and Savior and you no longer suffer, you are now perfect as God created you. I only wish that you had told me more about your health, like I did not know that you had Advanta oxygen till I went to take care of your apartment, but I know yoou were a very proud woman and private. If I had known, I could have done so much for you to prevent the stroke you had. But you lived your life the way you wanted to your whole life and that is what you passed on to me and for that I am forever grateful, I am a strong woman because of you. I love you Mama nd may the Lord give you rest and blessings forever. You are a virtuous woman and we are together because we share DNA and you live on in me until I join you with our Lord Savior. Thank you Mother for all you gave me. I have also talked to Tio Jose and Tia Ramona. Do you know she is going to be 90 on August 31. Wow! OK Mamasita, I will talk to you again real soon.
