Maria Favaloro

Maria was born in Sicilia where she met and married the Blue Fisherman, Johnny Favaloro. Together they moved to America to start Abalonetti restaurant and fish market and, of course, La Famiglia, the true joy of her life. They had 4 Children: Lucia, Anna, Gina, Giovanna, 5 Grandchildren, and 4 Great grandkids.

Mom loved, loved, loved to cook. You could always find her in the kitchen fixing delicious meals for family and friends, either at home or at the restaurant. At every family gathering, she made sure that everyone’s favorite food was on the table. Quite la tavola abbondante! In the end, she said she was going to cook for Jesus.

The bonds of our mother's love run deeper than we can express. Her strength, loving kindness, and selfless devotion to her family set the course for our lives. We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful mother and friend. Mom you are the light of our lives and we feel you in every heartbeat.
