To the family of Miss Palmer:I am sad to hear of the passing of this very kind hearted lovely lady. Miss Palmer was my 3rd grade teacher at Marina Vista. I have fond memories of art projects with her. I also remember how concerned she was after I became very very ill after my measles vaccine that was given at school. I missed about 1 month of school after becoming very ill.She checked on me often and was just very kind. My sympathy to all her family during this sad time.

From one of the "Fab Five:"
Carolyn has been a great friend throughout high school and at 10-year reunions through 50 during 2015.

She was always pleasant and a joy to be near.

RIP Carolyn, and I shall look forward to another reunion in Heaven.

I first met CAROLYN at a Reading Results Saturday workshop. I was touched with her kindness. I never had the opportunity to teach with her but came to know her better through CalRTA and DKG and RIF. I enjoyed spending time with her at our many gatherings. She was always so sweet and kind and she will always have a special place in my heart. We celebrate a life well lived!

I loved the sweet qualities Carolyn expressed -- kindness, patience, humor, and consideration. I taught with her at Patton Elementary School for 3 years, then at Marina Del Mar for 2 years. I will miss her.

Carolyn and I met in first grade, so we knew each other for a long time. You will be missed Carolyn; you were the nicest, kindest person that one could hope to be. You are Heaven's gain and our loss.

Carolyn was a wonderful friend. She was a great organizer and always a teacher even after her retirement. She was generous and kind, thoughtful and giving. I taught with her at Marina Del Mar for many years. As one of the Fab 5, we enjoyed our special times together. Carolyn left her mark with us and I miss her greatly.

I'll miss Carolyn's sweet spirit and dedication to the causes that were close to her heart. I so enjoyed our years of teaching at Marina Del Mar, getting to know her more during our retirement years, and making "flag pins" annually for several classes of students. It's hard to think that I won't be sharing anymore meals with her. She was a dear friend and will remain so in memory.
