July 1, 1942 ~ March 19, 2024
A resident of Pacific Grove, Norman, age 81, passed away surrounded by his loved ones. Born in San Francisco, CA, Norman enlisted in the National Guard on the same day with his best friend, Robert Acevedo.
Norman's career spanned many decades, working for Woolworth and Target. He assisted in opening Target stores in Southern California and, as Store Manager, he opened Target's Salinas and Sand City locations.
All of Norman's free time was spent with his supportive wife, treasured family, valued friends, beloved pets and many fantastic co-workers.
He enjoyed serving his community and making a difference as a poll worker in Monterey County. He gave significant time to the Homeowners Association in his neighborhood for the last two decades. Norman always enjoyed the 49ers, Giants and Warriors games.
Norman is survived by his wife of twenty years, Heather Frisella; his children, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Frisella, Karen (Kevin) Cichurski and Kimberly (Robert) Wortmann and his grandchildren, Nicholas Frisella, Lexi Cichurski, Spencer Cichurski, Kelsey Wortmann and Jacob Wortmann. Norman was predeceased by his favorite and only brother, David Frisella and survived by his sister-in-law, Varsy Frisella and his nieces, Dina (Joseph) Zumwalt and Jennifer Frisella. Many nephews, nieces and great-nephews will carry the standard of kindness he followed during his life on Earth.
If I've had a new idea
or made a new friend...
If I've discovered
something interesting
about the world
or about myself...
if I've gone a little farther
than I had to
or given a little more
than was expected...
If I've accomplished
something worthwhiile,
however small...
If I've brought happiness
to someone
who wouldn't have
found it without me...
then my living
has not been in vain.
