Monterey Peninsula. Born November 27, 1946, in Santa Ana, CA to William Clinton Hoyt and Jacqueline
Leola Hoyt. She leaves behind her brother, Keith Clinton Hoyt, and sisters, Kathleen Erin Connell and
Aileen Lesley Mickel. Her nieces and nephews; David Jamarck, Colleen Owens, Shannon Jamarck, Alexis
McBride, Amy De La Torre, Christine Benson, Allyson Hoyt-Begle, Matthew Mickel and Mallory Mickel.
Born into a military household, she and her family lived in several states before settling down in
Pebble Beach, CA. Pam attended Catholic school and as an adult she worked and retired from
Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula as a unit secretary for Garden Pavilion. Although Pam never married, or had children of her own, her nieces and nephews were her children. She loved them all unconditionally. She would take them to the movies, to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and would spoil them rotten.
She loved to cook and would make wonderful feasts for the holidays, spending all day in the
kitchen. She loved Christmas the most and always made the holiday’s very special for her family.
Specializing in calligraphy, she would hand write everyone’s names on the Christmas tree skirt and even
customized the stockings that took up the entire mantle of the fireplace. Pam was so proud of this. Being with her family for the holidays was important to her and she made them so memorable and special for her family.
Pam loved going on trips with her friends and attending the annual “pig roast.” She rubbed
shoulders with celebrities and would go fishing with her lifelong friends, that have now greeted her in
Heaven. Along with her parents, brother Sean Hoyt and sister Candace Hoyt. For those of us who were
blessed to know and love Pam and to be loved in return, our hearts are broken. We will never meet
anyone so loving, giving and caring as she was. May Pam now rest in peace with her loved ones and
know that she will be missed by many.
