Reynaldo Balcena Tagami, 65 years old of Pebble Beach passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013. He left peacefully at his home surrounded by family. He was a wonderful husband to Judy Ann Tapangco Tagami. “To my soul mate, I will miss you and your sense of humor forever.” He was an exceptionally loving, dedicated, inspiring father to Michelle Liana and Kiersten Danielle Tagami. “We will always miss you! Aloha Oe.” Rey attended Watsonville High School, Cabrillo College and Sonoma State University. Rey was an educator at San Benancio Middle School teaching Physical Education, Science Biology and Health, Athletic Director, Coach and Teaching Vice Principal. Rey is survived by his mother, Judith Balcena Tagami of Watsonville, Sister Andrea Bucaloy of Watsonville, Lene Balcena Tagami of San Jose, Robert & Judy Tagami of Washington, Fredrick Tagami of Watsonville, Richard M. and Diane Tagami of Watsonville and Alan and Lynn Tagami of Hollister. Also numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Many, many Thanks for all those who visited Rey at the Community Hospital of Monterey, Stanford Hospital and home, sending messages, videos, cards and texts. Love with communication helped him along his way. We greatly appreciated Heartland Hospice of Monterey Staff, Claudia, Ginger, Donna, R.N., Rev. Reuben and Maria. Thank you for helping us through a very difficult time on a daily basis keeping our thoughts straight. We find Solace and Peace knowing that Rey has returned to the Lords unconditional love and surrounded by spirits full of peace on the other side. Aloha Oe…..Until we meet again.
