Robert James Newell

Robert James Newell, 92 of Pebble Beach, CA passed away on March 29, 2018. He was born to Mildred Potter and Robert C. Newell in Holcomb, IL. He was a graduate from Austin High School in Chicago, IL and later received a B.S. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from July 1944 to July 1946. He joined Xerox Corporation in 1962 where he held various senior marketing and management positions until his retirement in 1987. He later became an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Golden Gate University Campus in Monterey, CA from 1989-1995. He joined the Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE) Monterey Chapter where he was a volunteer business counselor and former Chapter Chair.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen, who met as students at the University of Illinois and married in Chicago, IL; his daughter, Barbara Priest (Frank) of Webster, NY; his son, Robert Finley Newell of Pebble Beach, CA; his grandchildren, Aaron and Kara Priest of Webster, NY; and his sister, Donna Jean Wichser of Venice, FL.
