Dear Alfred ("Uncle") and family please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of dear Rose May.  She will be missed by so many people she touched.

She nicknamed me "banana" many, many moons ago.  She gave me a job out of high school.  She encouraged me to learn a little bit of my Chinese history by getting me to apply to the Taiwan cultural exchange program (I finally got in on the 3rd try!).
  
Uncle, the first time I met you was when she asked me to go up and call you uncle and give you a hug!  Oh yes, there were the outlet shopping days before Sally Socolich.  As I am typing this I can think of many other fond memories.  Where did the time go?  I wish I had visited  one last time to say how much I loved her.

Aunty Rosemay, our family is blessed to have known you and to have you be a part of our lives.  Your smile, generosity of spirit, warm heart and wonderful cooking will be greatly missed.  Thank you for the times you shared your knowledge of making joong with us, for the knitted and crocheted scarves, the sewed pouches and pocketbooks you made for us, and for the wonderful example of companionship and enduring love you and Uncle Alfred shared and we all hope to emulate.  We will miss you!

Auntie Rose May is such an inspiration to our family.  She was so kind, generous, sweet, strong, and loving.  Even when she wasn't feeling well, she continued to knit hats and blankets to give to her family, friends, and the needy.  She has left a lasting legacy as she has touched so many children's and parent's lives through her work at Drs. Bates, Branson, Black, & Penn's Pediatric Group. She has taught the next generation about our Chinese culture and heritage by patiently showing us how to make Joong (Chinese rice tamales).  I appreciate her time, the hours of preparation that she and Uncle Alfred took to gather, purchase, and make ready all the ingredients that go into making the much anticipated yearly delicious joong. She has always supported me as I try to bring awareness regarding our Chinese American history on the Monterey Peninsula and in Pacific Grove.  She listened to my stories and she attended events that I planned.  She always encouraged me.  We will miss her dearly.  Our sincere condolences and love to her family.

We'll miss Aunty very much. Her smile, sweetness, her compassion for others, and her joong-making parties that were full of fun & laughter. We give all our love & support to her family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Jung family for their loss of wife, mother, sister, grandmother.  I will always remember Mrs. Jung's friendly eyes and beautiful, bright smile whenever she greeted me and my sons at the Pediatrics Group office.  She always made our doctor visits pleasant.  Truly a wonderful and memorable lady.
