On October 12, 2025 the world lost a bright light. Sandra Tamiano, a devoted mother, sister, aunt and cherished friend, has passed away at the age of 60. She was the cornerstone of our family, a source of endless love and strength to all.
Sandra was a woman of many passions. She spent countless hours making her home a loving and welcoming place to share and celebrate family and friends. Her beautiful style for art and love for plants filled her home with warmth. She also enjoyed the time spent with loved ones through her love for food, the adventures of travel, a walk in the neighborhood, and simply taking the time to enjoy a glass of wine. Her strength and leadership is witness to the dedicated years of service to the US Postal Service as a carrier, clerk and post master. But most of all, Sandra was an observer, a listening ear, and a steadfast source of wisdom. She taught her children that true strength lies in kindness and that a warm meal shared with love can solve almost any problem.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on through her family and friends. We find comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to inspire us, and we will honor her memory by living lives filled with the same joy and passion she brought to us.
She is survived by her children, Stephanie and Sebastian Tamiano, her parents Antonio and Wildelina Declet, and siblings, Antonio Declet Jr, Bell Farber and Antonio Declet III. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Sanele Tamiano.
We will celebrate her remarkable life:

Services at: Our Lady of Refuge 11140 Preston St Castroville on November 4th at 11 AM. Followed by a reception at the Portuguese Hall of Monterey 950 Casanova Avenue Monterey.
