I still think of her and remember her in my prayers,

We came together to America on the same ship from Korea in 1954 and landed in Oakland, CA.  She was a big sister to me (just graduated from high school then) with a sea sick in the same cabin room.   How can I forget the 14-day non- stop journey together in the same cabin of the ship.

The last time I saw her was when I visited her a couple of years earlier before her passing.  At that time, we had such a good time ,  playing golf and reminiscing  the old times.

I miss her a lot.  Hoping her loving husband and daughters are all well and sending them my condolences and sympathy.

I cannot believe it has been already 5 years since my dear
friend  (she was like my older sister) passed away.
I am sending my deep sympathy to Sook Kyung's faamily.

I miss her a lot though we hadn't met many times.  We were farther apart she residing in CA and I in MD.  
Once in a while we chatted on the phone reminiscing our first journey to U.S.  in March 1954 on a commercial ship (Sharp company)
from Korea to Oakland, CA.  She was my cabin mate for 14 days on the ship and took care of me  when I got sea sick.

The last time I saw her was when I visited her in CA and played golf together in a scenic golf course.  

Pray that she is in peace with God in heaven.

I still cannot believe sook kyung Unni left us suddenly 2 years ago.
It was shocking.  Still I imagine hearing her voice on the phone.
I comfort myself believing she is in heaven with God.

She was my roommate on the ship for our first journey to America
In 1954.  She had already graduated from the university in Korea and I just finished from high school.  For 2-week-non-stop journey in the sea, she ,like my older sister , took  a good care of me.  Since our separation in Oakland , ca after landing, I was able to visit her only once and played golf together, but we continued our friendship via phone calls and letters.

I pray and send my deepest sympathy to her family.

I had the privilege of knowing Sook as a fellow golfer in the PG wormen’s Golf club.  She was truly an inspiration to all of us...not to mention a terrific golfer.  She was always cheerful and kind.  When I had cancer a few years ago, Sook encouraged me with phone calls   She meant a great deal to me and to others. She will be missed.
