

Sue Creel, age 83, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 11th, 2013. She was born November 14th, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mary Martin Creel and James Cleon Creel. She was the older of two girls. Sue grew up in Parsons, Kansas. She attended the University of Kansas and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, graduating in 1951 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
In 1965, the family settled in Carmel. Sue was active in the Carmel Presbyterian Church, The Daughters of The American Revolution and was a suicide prevention counselor. In 1979, she opened Kingdom Come Books and Gifts a non-denominational Christian bookstore on Carmel Rancho Lane in Carmel. She operated it six days a week for 31 years, and closed the store in October 2010 and retired to spend time in her garden and with her two dogs.
Sue enjoyed travelling, visiting the Holy Land, reading and Bible studies. She was a loving and caring person who will be missed by all who have known her. She is survived by her two children, Karen Georgeson and J.D. “Tony” Sailer.
