Adrian Salee, a keen mind, a loving heart, and a master of wit, passed away peacefully on July 22nd at the age of 88. A dedicated management consultant, he leaves behind a legacy of innovation, problem-solving, and unwavering optimism.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 9, 1936, and raised in Huntington, NY, Adrian was a lifelong learner. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from New York University, laying the foundation for a notable career. His professional journey led him to the forefront of designing and improving complex systems, where he applied his analytical prowess to myriad challenges. From the intricacies of the Apollo rocket and the Space Shuttle to the urban complexities of the Washington Metro and New York City Transit, he delighted in helping to shape the infrastructure of our nation. His expertise extended beyond governmental entities, as he guided countless businesses across diverse industries toward efficiency and growth.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Adrian was a man of deep character who embraced life. His love for sailing mirrored his adventurous spirit as he navigated life's waters with grace and determination. With his beloved wife, Alice, by his side, he explored the world, making friends wherever he went. Their shared passion for travel enriched their lives and created a tapestry of unforgettable memories.
Adrian cherished his role as a father to Linda (Michael), Deborah, and Steve (Michael), and he adored his five grandchildren, Sam (Shannon), Joe (Carter), Isabelle, Aaron, and Daniel. Adrian’s playful spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to every gathering.
With a sharp wit and a penchant for wordplay, Adrian was a master of puns and poetry. His clever verses brought smiles to countless faces and showcased his creative mind. Adrian also delighted in playing a multitude of games, from chess and bridge to Rummikub and Mexican Train, with family and friends.
Adrian will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. A celebration of his life will be held on August 18th at 12:00 pm at the IJ Morris at Star of David Cemetary of the Palm Beaches, located at 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
