Albert Goldfinger

GOLDFINGER, Albert, age 103 of The Fountains in Lake Worth, Florida passed away peacefully on May 25, 2015. Beloved husband for 75 years of Frances Goldfinger (predeceased); loving father of Roy Goldfinger and Dr. Sue Goldfinger (Dr. Timothy Bell); adored “poppy” of Russell Goldfinger, Emily Bell, Andrew Bell and Jennifer Bell. He lived his long life to the fullest, always bringing humor and joy to everyone around him. He was born in NY, a son of Sarah and Isaac Goldfinger. He married Frances Gershowitz on December 25, 1937 in New York City. Their 75-year marriage was a very special inspiration to everyone who witnessed their incredible bond, love and devotion. They moved from Riverdale, New York to Lake Worth in 1976. Al was a successful hat manufacturer in New York City. He was an avid golfer who continued to play into his 90’s. He read the newspaper daily with a special interest in politics and business news. He exercised enthusiastically, and was at the gym 2 weeks ago. He was an amazing inspiration to all of us. Most of all, he loved his family and was part of every celebration. He never missed an opportunity to babysit a grandchild, attend a birthday party, basketball game, ballet recital or graduation.
