Arnold Leonard Lampert

Born on September 5, 1932, in Media, Pennsylvania, Arnold was the middle of three children. After losing his parents at a young age, he developed the independence, determination, and resilience that would define his life.

Arnold attended Temple University and began his career working in his family’s grocery stores before transitioning to the insurance industry. A natural entrepreneur and gifted salesman, he went on to build a highly successful career in insurance. After moving his family to Palm Beach County in 1976, he expanded his business into a statewide and eventually national wholesale insurance marketing firm, which was ultimately sold to Allianz in 2006. Along the way, Arnold also invested in restaurants, nightclubs, and a radio station and was always looking toward his next venture.

Arnold was deeply devoted to his Jewish faith, Israel, and his community. He generously supported numerous Jewish organizations, including his synagogue and others, AIPAC, Jewish Federation, Jewish Family Service, the Jewish Community Center, Meyer Academy, and various Chabads. He was especially proud to see that commitment to Jewish life and community carried forward by his children.

Arnold embraced life with enormous energy and curiosity. He loved sports, boating, travel, theater, art, and music, especially show tunes. He was an avid collector, a lifelong risk-taker, and someone who was rarely content to sit still.

Above all, Arnold loved his family. He was predeceased by his beloved wife and partner, Marilyn, with whom he shared nearly 65 years. He is survived by his wife, Jane; his five children, Michael (Stacey), Tony (Patti), Rene’e (Danny), Ilene (Greg), and Joyce; eight grandchildren, David, Benjamin, Sydney, Madison, Max (Kelsey), Sam (Rachel), Felicia, and Jenna; two great-grandchildren, Natan and Aari; and his sister, Selma Smith.

Arnold lived large—in business, in his community, and in the way he experienced the world. His unmistakable presence, passion for life, and devotion to family will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
