Barbara Friedberg Rinder

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, the youngest of four children, she was a natural born athlete.

She picked up a tennis racquet at the age of 16 and with no formal training became a state and Eastern collegiate college champion within two years.

She leaves behind 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her loving husband David, to whom she was married for 68 years.

Barbara was a giver and a caregiver. She would give you the shirt off her back and literally did so many many times.

She cared for her 4 children while teaching tennis to hundreds of students over the years.

She then cared for her beloved Aunt Mildred for 10 years.

Barbara and David retired to South Florida over 30 years ago and enjoyed an active life with tennis, golf, bridge and Mah Jong.

They were devoted members of Temple Beth El for many years.

Barbara continued her caregiving helping her children over the years and helping to raise her grandchildren. She would drop everything at a moment’s notice and come help for whomever needed her.

She was fortunate to enjoy the last few years of her life at Waltonwood Cotswold assisted living where she gained many new friends. She was beloved by the caregivers there who loved hearing her stories and sharing pictures of her family. She enjoyed playing bridge, bingo and painting.
