Sternberg family and friends,
I just learned of Barry’s passed this morning August 30th.
We grew up in the same neighborhood in Binghamton and I have fond memories of Barry as a kid and then a teenager growing up.
We often skied together at Innsbruck and later Greek Peak as we improved, and we would often have these great games of “kick the can” in
our neighborhood as kids.
We would hang out together and watch a ball game or ride our bikes up to
the Carvel ice cream stand up the street on Riverside Drive.
Barry introduced me to some great music from the 1970’s that I still enjoy today.
He had an 8-track player in his car, and we would take a drive and listen to music.
We lost track of each other when he moved to Florida, but I would often inquire
about him when I’d see Marci at the Toyota dealership in Binghamton.
I am saddened to hear of his passing and my thoughts are with family and friends.

I am so sorry  and sad to hear about Barry's passing, I worked with Barry   at Crones in the late 70's and early 80's . He was kind,  smart, and we all had a lot of fun.  I suggested the name  Hilary  for his daughter.   I'am glad to know that he had the best life he could 
have. I think about those fond memories often.
   My condolences to  Sue, Hilary and family, also, Fern, Marcy, and David.


It was so sad to hear of Barry's passing.  We worked together during the development and implementation of the computerized pharmacy system at UHS hospitals in Binghamton, NY.   He was a great colleague to work with and an even better friend.  My sincerest condolences to the family for your loss.

              I was shocked and saddened to learn that Barry has died. I remember him well from long-ago days in Binghamton. He and my brother Eddie were childhood friends. Please accept my condolences for your loss. 

Sue, very sad to hear about the passing of Barry. He was always available for a good chuckle and of course kindness. He will certainly be missed by me . I enjoyed the time I was given by you both! Jack Bussard

Barry was a mensch, always kind and warm, always smiling. I am so sorry for your loss, Sternberg, Wiederkehr and Schwantes families, may you be comforted by the love of those around you.

I worked with Barry back in the 80s at Crone's Pharmacy in Binghamton (Chenango Bridge), NY.  He was always so kind and paitent, and I enjoyed working with him.  I remember how the customers just loved him and would stay and chat with him after picking up their prescription.  He knew everyone by name.  Thinking of his family and sending my condolences.  He was a great guy.
