Bernard Albert, 89, passed from this earth on August 7, 2026. He was born on April 7, 1937, in NYC to Natalie and Max Albert. Bernie was a true “Renaissance man”--- multi-talented and skilled in practically everything. He was the “go-to” person to solve almost any problem; was amazingly technologically savvy, built his own computer and was incredibly creative in doing restorative photography.
As he was innately mathematically oriented, he would plan and construct built-in units, saw and paint, and even do crown molding himself! He was also the most incredible chef and loved creating new recipes --- entertaining friends and family with his Gourmet French style innovations! To add to his many talents, he had a green thumb and plants thrived tall and healthy with his planned irrigation system. Due to his sharp analytical skills, he would take time to examine a task from many perspectives and was open to finding new ways to strategically solve a problem. This helped him to be successful in whatever project he took on, and because of this, he was considered the “guru” to many of us!
Bernard received his BS from City College of NY in Statistics and Engineering followed by a master’s degree in business from NYU. He served in the US Army, Fort Lee, Virginia from 1961-1963.
His career focused primarily as a market research consultant and though he worked for several corporate institutions in NY and NJ, he eventually formed his own consultant company called “Insight Resources, Inc”. He was an avid reader, researcher and writer and was sought after for his ability to develop and complete projects effectively, and thoroughly in a reasonable amount of time, something many of us struggle to accomplish.
Bernard won the battle of his four previous cancers during the last 25 years and only his recent fifth struggle with lung cancer weakened him to the point where he lost the energy needed to continue fighting. He was a warrior to the very end, and we are all proud to have known this brilliant and creative man who could discuss anything with anyone!
Bernard is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Dr. Deanna Albert; his daughter, Danielle Albert from his previous marriage, and two sons Norman and Mark Albert from his first marriage.
A private graveside service is planned at the Star of David / IJ Morris of the Palm Beaches on Sunday, August 16th at noon, 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412. Rabbi Andrew Rosenkranz of Temple Beth Torah will officiate.
