It is with profound sadness that our family shares the news that Beverly Robbins, our beloved and adored wife, mother, mother- in -law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, has left this world.
Beverly got her start as a designer of handbags and went on to earn a B.A and a Masters in Education while raising three small children. She was a prominent member of the Citizens Committee for Children, the Legal Aid Society, UJA Federation, Kravis Center and was a Board Member of MorseLife and also helped many other organizations.
Beverly married the love of her life, Edwin Robbins, having both attended the same high school where he was Class President and she was Editor in Chief of the newspaper. For 70 years, they created a legacy of love from beginnings in Brooklyn NY, Union NJ, Short Hills NJ, Bedford NY, and then Manhattan and Palm Beach.
Beverly was loyal, gentle, loving, intelligent, thoughtful, and always put those she cared about first. Her greatest joy was in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and dancing with Ed by her side.
Beverly is survived by her children Clifton and Debbie Robbins, Alison Robbins, and Brian and Kimberly Robbins, her sister Linda Zimmerman, as well as by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Selma Leonard and her siblings, Murray Leonard and Alvin Leonard.
Beverly touched the hearts of all of us and she will truly be missed.
