The son of Irving Rudnick and Selma Rudnick Waters, he was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his mother, sister Lisa Tagliaferri (Gerardo), nieces Dr. Ariana Tagliaferri (Adrian) and Kaitlin Cucci (Evan), great nieces and nephew Anabelle, Adeline and Aspen, and numerous cousins.
David grew up in Havertown, a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. David was a teacher and lifelong learner. After graduating from Haverford Senior High School, he attended Clarion State College graduating with a degree in Business Administration. He later went on to earn a Master of Education, a Master of Business Administration, a Master in Business Education along with numerous other certifications.
Over the years, he taught at community colleges and high schools across multiple states. He had a particular interest in the use of computer technology for business. He was a caring, gentle man, who loved his family, travel and his Phillies, Flyers, Eagles and 76ers.

A graveside service for David will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, September 18, 2026 at the Garden of Ben Gurion in Star of David Cemetery, located at 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33412.
