Divonne Wald, 55, angel daughter of Hadar Mehl and Herbert Horowitz, adoring partner of Bill Hussey, and devoted mother of Alyssa and partner Josh, and Adam and partner Nicole, passed away unexpectedly June 14 at her home in West Palm Beach. A dedicated occupational therapist to special needs children, Divonne’s tremendous humanitarianism extended to all living creatures– 2-legged, 4-legged, and no legged. A passion for watching her children race motocross, gardening, the beach, and rescuing animals, combined with her selfless love for family and friends filled her life. She was a true “mensch”. Among those who will deeply mourn her loss are her step-father Ed Mehl, Randy Wald, extended family, friends, coworkers and her beloved pets. Funeral services at Temple Emanu-El on Tuesday, June 23 at 11 a.m. Shiva will be observed at the Mehl home, 5271 Tiffany Anne Circle, WPB, following interment until 9 p.m. (Minyan 6 p.m.); continuing Wed. and Thurs. June 24 and 25 from 5:30-9 p.m. (Minyan 6 p.m.); Sat. June 27 (Minyan 8 p.m.); concluding Sun. June 28 from 5:30-9p.m. (Minyan 6p.m.).
