This is so heartbreaking to find out. She was one of my favorite people in the world. I just had lunch with her not long ago and we made a plan not to wait so long next time. She was such an incredible woman, very progressive and kind, loving and she had such a great sense of humor. I really thought of her as a "mom" figure...what a terrible loss for all of the family. I am so very sorry and my heart goes out to you all.

Russ and I can't begin to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of Evelyn.  The help you both gave to the Treasure Coast walk year after year was greatly appreciated, but also brought us joy to see you.  We will miss her at our April walk.  It won't be the same without her smiling face.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Lindy, and your family through this difficult time.

Staff, Board and Volunteers at JDRF-Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Greater Palm Beach County Chapter are heartbroken at the loss of our dearest friend and one of our most dedicated volunteers. For almost 18 years, Evelyn has been a part of the JDRF family - volunteering at countless events and coming to the office as often as possible. Her smile, wit and humor always made our day. We celebrated her birthday every June...she insisted on providing the staff lunch (even though it was her day). We were together in June 2015 and none of us could have known it would be our last celebration. We loved her dearly. Our love and thoughts are with Lindy and the entire family.
