

Fruema Annette Klorfein, of Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2023 at the age of 91. She is survived by her three children, Stephen Richard Klorfein(Marlo), Tamara Joy Klorfein Tasini (Oren), Jonathan Scott Klorfein (Mary), and five Grandchildren – Jason Klorfein, Jarred Klorfein (Katie), Jenna Klorfein, Sara Tasini (Peter), Madeleine Tasini and her two great grandsons Leo Klorfein and George Klorfein
Born Fruema Annette Nannis to Harry and Thelma Nannis on March 7, 1931. She had one sister, Phyllis, deceased. Fruema grew up in Dorchester, MA and Graduated from Simmons College in Boston in 1952.
She met her husband Dr. Elliot Harry Klorfein during a summer while he was in Medical School. They were both working at a hotel in New Hampshire. Elliot became a Urologist, who practiced in the Palm Beaches for more than 50 years. Fruema ran the office. They shared their lives for 65 years. They travelled the world together visiting 160 countries and all seven continents. Fruema also got her real estate license and worked as a travel agent
Fruema volunteered on many Jewish and other charities and committees including the United Jewish Appeal and B’nai. Brith. She was President of the local Hadassah chapter and was Director of the Woman’s Auxiliary to Palm Beach County Medical Society, and President of Alumni Class of Simmons College 1952. She was a Founding Member of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, and she supported the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to the Fruema Nannis Endowed Scholarship at Simmons College
