

Mr. Blau was born in Providence, R.I., on December 20, 1938, the son of Leon Blau and Ada (Roth) Blau.
Following his graduation from Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., Mr. Blau served in the United States Coast Guard and was honorably discharged.
A barrel chested man, Mr. Blau entered the construction business and founded his own company that he headquartered in Providence, where he and his wife Judith raised their two sons.
After his retirement, Mr. Blau moved to Jupiter where he enjoyed painting on canvas, sculpting and pottery making at Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta. He was an avid learner and enrolled in many adult education courses at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
He was an active member of Alanon and established many friendships in the program. He was a member of the Jewish faith.
Several years ago, Harvey declared to Jayne (Davis) Johnson, "you are the love of my life". On January 2, 2023, they were wed at his residence in Jonathan’s Landing and honeymooned on a cruise to Antarctica. Having found companionship and a zest for travel they visited Israel, Budapest, Venice and Vienna, and made several trips to Georgia, South Carolina, Colorado, and New England to visit family.
Mr. Blau is survived by two sons, Larry Blau and David Blau, and their wives Laurie (Reeder) Blau and Natalie Blau, together with four loving grandchildren, Rachel, Andrew, Cassandra and Holden. His first wife, Judi, predeceased him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 2:30p.m. at IJ Morris at Star of David Cemetery of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Rd., Palm Beach Gardens.
